Planning for Stellapalooza...

The time has come to start preparation for Stellapalooza! Stella's first birthday extravaganza HAS to be nothing but perfect and I'm slowly realizing that I should have started planning at least a month ago.

I've found lots of eco-friendly goodies on the web tonight... I'm thinking I can make something pretty spectacular with this cardboard cupcake stand:

So, Stella is sleeping at night now. And when I say sleeping at night, I don't mean just a few hours off and on.. I'm talking 8 or 9 hours of straight peaceful sleep. Yet, here I am at 4:26 am writing a blog?!

Okay, you HAVE to get on Etsy and check out the shop called VintageLucy's. Pretty sure if you love the whole vintage whimsy thing like I do, then you'll want to order every single item on there... even if you don't have a little one to buy for yet! My sister, Lacie, got Stella the "Cute and Chubby" dress (pictured below) as one of her many "welcome to the world" gifties. SOOOOOO cute!!!

I have finally decided on my favorite fabrics! This soiree of rich, whimsical floral prints will make the perfect statement in Stellita's room. Maybe I'll throw in a chartreuse tulle bedskirt and canopy to really complete the look?

Getting started!

Well, I am finally attempting the blog that I've been talking about doing ever since I found out about my sweet, darling Stella. This first post is going to be short and sweet-- I'm experiencing a horrible case of acid indigestion at the moment... could be the salsa and fried taquitos I had for dinner?? The Rolaids just aren't cutting it anymore!

Anyhoo, I look forward to sharing stories of the good, the bad, & the ugly, along with updates on my pregnancy and anything that comes along the way! I must take to my sweet California king now, but stay tuned for pictures of Stella's boudoir, unforgetable ultrasound moments, and outfits that are too sweet for words! Nighty Night.
